Red Ranch Goats

Red Ranch Goats raises kiko goats in Liberty, Illinois, a small farming community in west-central Illinois about 80 miles west of Springfield and roughly 97 miles northwest of St. Louis. Jim Loos operates the farm alongside Angie Loos, bringing a background that stretches back more than 30 years in livestock, originally in cattle before the focus shifted to meat goats around 2004.

The program started with Boer does before the Looses transitioned to kikos, drawn to the breed's performance traits. Red Ranch Goats produces both registered and commercial kiko breeding stock, with an emphasis on performance-tested genetics. The farm is a member of the American Kiko Goat Association and the American Goat Federation, and has participated as a consignor in multi-farm production sales alongside other established kiko breeders across the region.
