Red Haven Farm raises Scottish Highland cattle in Irvine, Kentucky, a rural stretch of Estill County in the eastern part of the state, about an hour southeast of Lexington. The farm spans 540 acres of fields, woods, and creek-fed pasture in the Red Lick Valley. Highland cattle there are raised on a pasture-forward program, with the herd spending 95 to 100 percent of their time on pasture or in the woods and receiving minimal grain supplementation. The farm does not use growth hormones, animal by-products, or antibiotics except when medically necessary, and animals have access to supplemental minerals alongside clean water.

Red Haven is a registered member of the American Highland Cattle Association and offers both AHCA-registered and unregistered Highland cattle for sale as breeding stock. When selecting animals for the herd, the farm focused on calm dispositions, manageable size, and suitability for grass-based production.
