Red Bird Willow Farm

Red Bird Willow Farm, run by Michele Hornsby and her husband Ray, raises alpacas and a wide variety of other animals on their property in Anniston, Alabama, in the foothills of the Appalachian region about 60 miles east of Birmingham.

The farm got its start in 2020 and has grown into a working operation with more than 70 animals. Those looking for alpacas for sale in Alabama will find them among a diverse collection of animals that also includes llamas, kangaroos, miniature donkeys, goats, and more. The Hornsbys are known for the hands-on care they extend to each animal, and Michele greets visitors by name for every creature on the property.

Red Bird Willow Farm is a USDA-licensed, 501(c)(3) nonprofit operation, and its mission centers on the healing connection between people and animals. The farm welcomes visitors and offers guided tours, giving guests the chance to spend time among the herd in a working farm setting.
