Quail Run Cavaliers
Quail Run Cavaliers has been raising Cavalier King Charles spaniels in Pleasant Hill, Oregon since 1989, when owner Linda Kornhi welcomed her first cavalier — a rescue dog named Teddy — into her home. The program is situated in the southern Willamette Valley, roughly 15 miles southeast of Eugene.
Health testing is a central part of the program. All dogs at Quail Run carry current OFA certifications covering heart, hips, patella, and eyes, and are symptomless for epilepsy and syringomyelia. DNA clearances for curly coat, dry eye syndrome, and episodic falling are also completed on every dog in the breeding program.
The kennel has a strong show record, with dogs earning AKC and Canadian championships and placing at national and regional specialties, including multiple wins at the Oregon Trail Cavalier Club Specialty. Cavalier King Charles spaniel puppies produced here have gone on to both show homes and family homes, reflecting a program that keeps an eye on both conformation and temperament.
