Quail Canyon Labs

Quail Canyon Labs has been raising AKC-registered Labrador retrievers in Tehachapi, California since 2004, with Kathyanna (Kathy) Radcliff running the operation in the foothills of the Southern Sierra Nevada, roughly an hour southeast of Bakersfield.

The program is intentionally small, centered on a handful of females, and the dogs have several acres of mountain terrain to roam. Adults are trained in retrieving, hunting, and basic obedience, and are evaluated for temperament before breeding. The kennel produces Labrador retriever puppies for sale in California in a range of colors — from fox red to yellow, black, and chocolate — with AKC registration and current vaccinations on each pup.

Puppies follow a structured daily routine of play, training, socialization, and rest from an early age, and whelping takes place in large, clean kennels. Tehachapi's four-season mountain climate means the dogs grow up accustomed to varying weather conditions, a practical detail for families in cooler regions. Females are not bred consecutively, keeping the scale of the operation manageable and the focus on individual care.
