Prouty Acres Belted Galloway LLC raises belted Galloway cattle on a multi-generational family farm in Lore City, Ohio, in the rolling hill country of southeastern Ohio, roughly an hour east of Cambridge. Kelly Sarchet runs the operation alongside her father, Wayne "Butch" Prouty, making it a true family partnership rooted in the land they grew up on.

The property itself has a long agricultural history, having been in the family since the early 1900s and home to cattle ever since. Belted Galloways came to the farm in 2021, when Kelly and Butch sourced their first animals from Columbus and subsequently expanded the herd through trips to Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, and Virginia. The herd now includes registered and commercial cows in black, dun, and red, along with registered bulls, and the farm is also developing belted Galloway and Murray Grey crosses.

Prouty Acres is a member of the Belted Galloway Society and offers bull prospects, heifers, and steers post-weaning at six months old, with calves suited for the show ring or for raising and finishing on farm.
