Premier Dobermans

Premier Dobermans, run by Samantha Whited in the Akron area of northeast Ohio, has focused on European and AKC-registered Doberman pinschers since 2005. The program operates out of Tallmadge, a small city just east of Akron and about 40 miles south of Cleveland.

Samantha built the program from a single dog nearly two decades ago, and the selection priorities have stayed consistent throughout: conformation to breed standard, working ability, sound temperament, and long-term health. All dogs in the program carry champion and/or working-titled pedigrees, and parents are health-tested using current protocols before being bred. Some of the breeding stock has been sourced internationally, with dogs imported from Europe to broaden the genetic foundation.

Puppies are raised inside the home alongside the family rather than in a kennel setting, and each litter receives daily handling and socialization from birth. At seven weeks, every puppy undergoes temperament testing to help match individual dogs to the right household.
