Pleasant Journey Alpacas Twisted Luxury raises huacaya alpacas in Chuckey, Tennessee, a small community in Greene County in the upper East Tennessee foothills, roughly 30 minutes northeast of Johnson City. Susan and Glenn Kacsh own and operate the farm, which has its roots in a show-focused breeding program developed over many years in the Southwest before the herd was relocated.

The operation has since shifted its emphasis from breeding and showing toward fiber production and hand-crafted goods. The farm produces yarns, rovings, hand-spun and mill-spun yarn, woven rugs, knit accessories, and woven shawls made directly from the fleeces of its alpacas. The rebrand to "Twisted Luxury" reflects that fiber-first direction, with the herd serving as the raw-material source for the finished textile products the Kacshes offer.
