Pitchfork Llamas raises ccara (classic) llamas in Swartz Creek, Michigan, in the greater Flint area. Margaret Van Camp's program at Pitchfork Ranch, established in 1986, is one of the earlier dedicated Ccara/classic breeding operations in the Midwest.

The herd is kept intentionally small and carefully selected, drawing on both imported Classic/Ccara bloodlines and longstanding North American pedigrees. Breeding stock has included animals sourced from respected programs such as Highline Trails Llamas in Wyoming, with an emphasis on frame, bone, correct conformation, and workable temperaments. The program has also engaged in strategic trades with other established herds to introduce outcross genetics and keep the bloodlines diverse.

Fleeces from the herd are prepared with notable care before shearing and are offered alongside breeding stock.
