Phelps Farm

Phelps Farm raises Newfoundlands in Ball Ground, Georgia, in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains about 45 miles north of Atlanta. The operation grew from a deeply personal story: after years of looking for the right property, the family cleared forested land and built a working farm from the ground up, adding cows, goats, chickens, and dogs along the way.

The farm has been placing Newfoundlands since 2015, drawn to the breed for the temperament and affectionate nature that makes them well suited to family life. Great Pyrenees are also part of the program, rounding out a lineup that covers two of the larger working and companion breeds.
