Oh Yaks

Oh Yaks raises yak in Lebanon, Ohio, situated in Warren County in southwestern Ohio about 30 miles northeast of Cincinnati. Jamie and Nathan Sorum started the operation roughly eleven years ago, making the trip to Nebraska to bring home their first five yak and build the herd from the ground up.

Over the years the farm has focused on friendly, quality yak, welcoming calves into the world and helping other families get their own yak operations started. Grass-fed beef has also been part of what the farm produces. Kunekune pigs share the fields alongside the yak herd, rounding out the farm's livestock. For anyone searching for yak for sale in Ohio, Oh Yaks represents one of the longer-running small farm programs in the region.
