Northern Blessings Alpacas
Northern Blessings Alpacas, run by Dave and Kari Speckman, raises huacaya alpacas on a small farm in Benzonia, Michigan, near the shores of Lake Michigan in the heart of the region known as the cherry capital of America.
The farm is home to a herd of more than 35 huacaya alpacas and welcomes visitors who want to meet the animals up close. The Speckmans aim to serve a range of buyers, from those looking for a companion animal to hobby farmers and fiber producers. Each alpaca sold comes with an introductory membership in the Alpaca Owners Association, giving new owners a foundation of support through a national organization.
Northern Blessings Alpacas is also a working fiber operation, with the farm's own fleece used in handcrafted products including dryer balls and felted items. For anyone exploring alpaca for sale in Michigan, the farm sits roughly 30 miles south of Traverse City and reflects a hands-on approach to both breeding and fiber production.
