Noland Cattle Company got its start in 2007 when the Vasquez family, long rooted in Lyons, Colorado, began raising Highland cattle with a small founding herd of five heifers. Arthur Vasquez, along with family and staff, has since grown the operation into one raising over 125 combined head of cows, calves, steers, and breeding bulls across the ranch and several leased pastures — making it a notable source of Highland cattle for sale in Colorado.

The ranch sits where flat grasslands meet the rolling, pine-covered foothills west of Boulder, about 20 miles from Boulder itself. On-site breeding bulls give the operation direct control over offspring quality and fertility, and the herd moves through a regular rotation of grazing ground to support both land health and animal condition.

Sustainability and longevity in both land and livestock practices guide the way Noland Cattle Company is run — a philosophy that has shaped the program since its earliest years as a family-run operation.
