Naomi Steffanson

Sweetgum Acres in Ashland City, Tennessee raises Oberhasli and Nigerian dwarf dairy goats alongside an assortment of farm poultry. Located in Cheatham County, roughly 25 miles northwest of Nashville, Naomi Steffanson's farm is home to dairy crosses for those seeking goats in middle Tennessee.

The herd carries ADGA registration, and most of the Nigerian dwarf animals are also registered with AGS and NDGA. Naomi began participating in ADGA's Linear Appraisal and DHIR milk testing programs in 2021, using those tools to evaluate structural correctness and milking productivity across generations. The farm entered the show ring in 2022, competing at events across the region and using results to inform breeding decisions aimed at producing goats that are sound in conformation and productive in the milk parlor. The herd has also tested negative for CAE and Johne's disease, and farm-fresh goat milk is available for pet consumption.
