Mystic Highlands Ranch

Mystic Highlands Ranch raises Scottish Highland cattle in Gold Beach, OR, Curry County and Southern Oregon Coast near Coos Bay. All breeding stock is registered with the American Highland Cattle Association for transparent lineage tracking. It follows national registry guidelines and conducts regular health screenings including genetic testing for core traits and vaccinations timed to best serve herd health.

Cattle graze on coastal pastures managed with rotational grazing and have access to windbreaks and shelters to thrive year round. Owner Lisa Shigo incorporates sustainable practices learned over years of family farming in the Pacific Northwest, emphasizing soil health and water stewardship. This small herd allows hands-on socialization with calves, resulting in calm temperaments that reflect attentive stewardship and consistent handling. Highland cattle are valued here for their hardy constitution, thick coats and richly marbled meat, qualities nurtured through thoughtful selection and care.
