Mountain Shadow Goats

Mountain Shadow Goats, mini LaMancha goats in Lewiston, Utah, is located in Cache County and the Cache Valley near Logan. Taylor Gibbons has been breeding mini LaMancha goats for more than ten years and conducts regular health screenings on each animal. Its pasture-based herd receives daily hands-on care with early socialization to ensure calm, confident animals.

The farm grew from a few starter does and now combines traditional homestead values with selective breeding for sound structure. Goat kids develop under free-range conditions on a mixed forage pasture with access to shelter and fresh water at all times. This includes quarterly hoof trimming, routine vaccinations and fecal testing to maintain herd wellness. Kids are raised alongside household routines, gaining experience that reflects the farm’s commitment to temperament and lifelong health. The blend of careful breeding and gentle handling defines the farm’s approach to raising goats that thrive in small-farm settings.
