M&M River City Schnauzers has been raising miniature schnauzers in San Antonio, Texas for decades, under the care of Mario Gutierrez. San Antonio sits in South Texas, roughly an hour and a half south of Austin, and the program has served families throughout the region looking for miniature schnauzer puppies in Texas.

Mario's background in dogs spans 39 years, beginning with Dobermans and German Rottweilers before his family transitioned to Pomeranians and eventually schnauzers. Over time the focus narrowed entirely to miniature schnauzers, which Mario has described as his favorite of all the breeds he has worked with.

The program specializes in teacup, toy, and standard miniature schnauzers, and pays particular attention to size consistency in its smallest dogs, breeding teacup-to-teacup pairings to help ensure finished weights stay true to type. The kennel's color selection includes standard colors, parti patterns, and rarer shades such as chocolate (liver) and chocolate and tan.
