Mcmillan Farms & Kennels
McMillan Farms & Kennels raises Labrador retrievers, Pomeranians, and standard poodles in Cottontown, Tennessee, a rural community about 30 miles north of Nashville. Deborah McMillan and her family have been involved in dog breeding since 1998, when they first fell in love with Caucasian mountain dogs while living in Ukraine, going on to breed and raise them for 12 years before stepping away to focus on family and career. The program was revived in 2018 and has since expanded to include both purebred and designer breeds.
The kennel operates on a 12-acre micro farm that also supports quail for meat and eggs and an active apiary for honey production. Dogs are raised as part of a genuine family affair, with all household members involved in caring for and socializing the pups from an early age. Individual enclosures are purpose-built, each offering a climate-controlled indoor area alongside an outdoor deck with shading, a setup that reflects the farm's attention to the dogs' day-to-day comfort.
Families looking for Labrador retriever puppies in Tennessee, as well as those interested in Pomeranians or standard poodles, will find a small-scale program where the animals are handled regularly and raised alongside the rhythms of a working farm.
