McEntire Red Angus

McEntire Red Angus has been raising registered red Angus cattle in Sweetwater, Oklahoma since 2005, operating as a family-run program under Randy, Crystal, and Eugene and Pam McEntire. Sweetwater sits in the western Oklahoma panhandle region, roughly two hours west of Oklahoma City.

The operation traces its roots to a deliberate restart: the family sold their entire herd to acquire commercial red Angus heifers sourced from a Nebraska producer, then built from there. From an initial six registered head, the registered herd has grown to more than 200 animals. Quality of disposition, structural soundness, and overall cattle quality are central to what the program selects for.

Bulls developed at the ranch are performance-tested and ultrasounded, with EPD data available through the Red Angus Association. Semen sales are also part of the operation, making McEntire Red Angus a resource for producers across the region looking for red Angus genetics in Oklahoma and the southern plains.
