Mazkeret Farm breeds Leicester longwool sheep in Martinsburg, WV, in the Eastern Panhandle and Potomac Highlands near Hagerstown. Their sheep graze on rotating pastures shaded by hardwood trees and are sheltered in a family-style barn during inclement weather. Daily handling throughout the lambing season gently introduces lambs to human contact, and selective breeding promotes sturdy frames and calm temperaments.

Fleece from each shearing is skirted on site and graded for luster and staple length, meeting needs of handspinners and small-scale mills.
