Marebear Farms

Marebear Farms is a small-scale breeder of Scottish Highland cattle in Lubbock, TX.

Branum Noble has raised these hardy animals for well over a decade and maintains membership in the American Highland Cattle Association. Each calf is born and gently raised on open pasture with a focus on balanced nutrition, gentle handling, and daily socialization.

Winter shelters are provided alongside open-range pasture, and each animal has access to clean water and mineral supplements year-round. Their herd grazes across the South Plains region of west Texas near Amarillo, reflecting generations of farm stewardship in a climate that suits the breed’s thick coats. Many of their cattle trace lines to traditional Scottish roots, preserving traits such as resilience, foraging ability, and calm temperaments valued on hobby farms. Regular health screenings for fertility and hoof care help ensure animals are ready for grazing and adaptable to both ranch operations and family homesteads consistently.
