Lure Labradors

Lure Labradors is a breeder of Labrador retrievers in Lake Lure, NC, serving Rutherford County and the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville. It has been breeding Labrador retrievers for several years, is active in retriever clubs and follows breed standards and health guidelines set by national organizations.

Puppies are raised inside our home with daily socialization, regular exposure to outdoor trails and interactions with family members. Their environment includes fenced yards and supervised play on nearby mountain paths, encouraging natural retrieving instincts. Our kennel sits on a small mountain property with access to freshwater streams, allowing dogs to build strength through swim sessions. Health screenings include hip and elbow evaluations as well as eye examinations through recognized registries. Lines are selected for sound temperament and versatility, with many dogs thriving in field work, service roles and family companionship. Graduates often join community demonstration events and basic competitions, illustrating a balance of family-friendly temperament and working ability.
