Little-Walnut
Little Walnut Farm raises LaMancha dairy goats in Amanda, Ohio, about 30 miles southeast of Columbus. Devin Myers is the owner and steward of the herd, whose roots in dairy goats stretch back to the mid-1980s, when he first worked at a goat farm and began raising sheep and goats as 4-H projects.
His introduction to LaManchas came through fellow breeder Diana Wetherell, who connected him with William and Martha Griner of Little Orchard LaManchas — a relationship that laid the foundation for his own program. After stepping away from goats in 2006, Myers returned to the breed in 2017, reaching back out to the Griners to rebuild his herd. What began as a modest plan quickly grew to eight does, seven of them bred, in that first winter back.
The farm participates in ADGA Genetics and the Ohio Dairy Goat Association (ODGA) show circuit. Herd animals are DNA parent verified and microchipped, and show records reflect DHIR milk production data, reflecting a program oriented toward documented dairy performance. Those looking for LaMancha goats for sale in Ohio will find that Little Walnut Farm's herd is grounded in traceable lineage and production records rather than chance.
