Legacy Ranch raises registered belted Galloway cattle in Neosho, Missouri, a small city in the southwestern corner of the state about 25 miles south of Joplin. Todd and Janet Moyer founded the operation around a straightforward goal: producing all-natural, grass-fed beef from a breed well suited to finishing on pasture alone.

The program's origins trace back to a firsthand search for genuinely good-tasting grass-fed beef. After an unsatisfying experience with a grass-fed Angus steer, the Moyers researched alternatives and ultimately settled on belted Galloways as the answer. The breed's ability to finish on grass without grain became the foundation of the herd.

Legacy Ranch offers both registered belted Galloway breeding stock and grass-fed beef. The herd has included cattle with genetics tied to notable sires such as Hide-A-Way Hill Red Trubador, and the ranch has maintained bull prospects sired by Driftwood's Prime Time as well as line-bred Green Arpents genetics.
