Legacy Acres

Legacy Acres is a Wagyu cattle breeder in Augusta, WI, Jackson County and the Chippewa Valley near Eau Claire. Debra Dickinsen has built her herd over fifteen years with registry membership and genetic and health screening for coat, temperament, and marbling traits.

Calves are born and raised on pasture paddocks with routine handling that fosters calm temperaments and herd bonding. Breeding stock grazes rotationally on fescue and clover fields with shelter available year-round and access to clean water from on-site wells. Several steers have earned ribbons at the Wisconsin State Fair for quality and consistency.

Each calf remains with its dam for at least eight months before transitioning to finishing pastures, ensuring natural growth and robust health. Pasture sections feature native grasses and riparian buffers that support soil health and local wildlife alongside the herd. Regular hoof trimming and vaccination schedules are managed with a veterinarian to uphold herd welfare and product integrity.
