Lakeview Cattle

Lakeview Cattle, miniature Hereford cattle, Alvarado, TX, Johnson County and the Dallas–Fort Worth area near Fort Worth. The farm is owned by Latham Kidd, who has been raising miniature Herefords under the American Miniature Hereford Association guidelines for more than a decade and follows recommended health testing for herd management. Animals live in pasture-based paddocks shaded by mature oaks and receive daily handling from an early age to support calm temperaments. Feed is locally sourced hay supplemented with trace minerals to support growth and reproductive health.

The breeding philosophy focuses on strong maternal instincts and clean udders, traits admired in family herds and small-scale dairy operations. Lakeview Cattle participates in regional livestock shows and has a small herd that balances traditional Hereford coloration with compact size. Each calf is ear tagged and registered before leaving the farm. Visitors often note the gentle nature and hardiness of the cattle across seasons.
