L & A Farms

L & A Farms breeds Katahdin sheep in Max Meadows, VA, serving Wythe County and the Appalachian Highlands near Roanoke. It has been raising Katahdin sheep for several years, maintains membership in the American Katahdin Sheep Association, and follows national guidelines for parasite resistance and genetic health testing. L & A Farms keeps the flock on rotational pasture, allowing sheep to graze freely with shelter from seasonal weather. Lambs are handled from birth to encourage calm, well-socialized stock. Regina Arnold and Gary Lawson draw on decades of local farming knowledge to maintain a herd noted for sturdy build and gentle temperament.
