Kow's Mini Cows

Kow's Mini Cows, run by Kylie Walker out of Huntley, Montana, raises miniature and micro-mini Scottish highland cattle along with several other small breeds. The ranch sits in Yellowstone County, roughly 20 miles east of Billings, and Walker has been building her herd since she started the operation in 2020.

The program is embedded within a larger traditional cow-calf operation, and the mini cattle side of the ranch reflects that working-ranch context rather than a purely novelty focus. Scottish highlands are the primary specialty, with sizes ranging from micro-mini to mid-mini, and the herd also includes Dexter, Hereford, belted Galloway, and highpark cattle, among other breeds. Crosses such as highland-Dexter and highland-belted Galloway combinations are also represented in the herd, adding variety in coloring and build.

Walker has been active in bringing her animals into the broader community, appearing at local events in the Billings area and participating in the Montana State Fair petting zoo.
