Kim Roman

Kim Roman breeds Nigerian dwarf goats in Illinois near Chicago with an emphasis on health and temperament. She has been working with Nigerian dwarf goats for more than ten years and maintains membership in the American Dairy Goat Association, completing all recommended health screenings.

Each goat enjoys daily turnout on rolling pasture and routine handling by family members to foster friendly interactions and gentle temperaments. The herd descends from foundation stock sourced from established breeders, including several lines known for superior milk production and conformation. All goats undergo regular CAE, CL, and Johne’s disease testing, with clear records provided to prospective buyers.

Kids are bottle raised underfoot in the home barn and socialized with children and other livestock to ensure confidence and adaptability. Kim Roman also shares insights on goat care through workshops and welcomes thoughtful inquiries about herd management. Transparent communication and commitment to welfare are central to her approach.
