JSM Homestead

JSM Homestead raises Scottish highland cattle in Fairland, OK, in northeastern Oklahoma near Tulsa. Founded by Josh Siler in 2012, JSM Homestead has spent more than a decade refining breeding lines, with all stock registered through the American Highland Cattle Association and regularly tested for common genetic conditions. Herds graze across 75 acres of mixed fescue and clover pasture, with herd health supported by scheduled veterinary visits and balanced mineral supplementation.

Cattle are handled daily and exposed to family activity from birth, which helps produce animals known for even temperaments and easy adaptation to diverse farm settings. Their breeding program emphasizes structural soundness and adaptiveness to regional weather extremes, offering cattle suited to both pasture-based and mixed-production systems. The farm’s scale allows personal attention to each animal, and customer feedback often highlights the sturdy build and consistent performance of the calves. Local farmers and hobbyists appreciate the reliability and quality of JSM Homestead’s breeding stock for small-scale and homestead operations.
