Jrr Russell Ranch, miniature Herefords, Burkburnett TX in north Texas near Wichita Falls. Jim Russell has raised miniature Hereford cattle for more than ten years, participating in the American Miniature Hereford Association and performing regular health and genetic screenings to maintain herd vitality.

The ranch’s grass-based pastures and shaded loafing sheds give the cattle ample room to roam and rest, and calves are handled gently from birth to foster calm, confident animals. Several of their Herefords have earned ribbons at local 4-H and county fairs for their sound structure and steady temperament. Jim believes in transparent communication about breeding goals and welcomes visits by appointment, ensuring each animal’s care and development is visible.

Rotational grazing and composted manure improve soil health and nurture local wildlife. Jim often attends regional ranching workshops to stay informed about sustainable livestock management. Their gentle nature makes them well suited to small family farms.
