Iowaragdolls

Iowaragdolls operates out of Cumming, Iowa, about 30 minutes south of Des Moines, and is the cattery behind Central Iowa Ragdolls and Ragamuffins. Owner Kari traces her roots in cat care back to 2005, when she began hand-raising kittens and caring for cats in a refuge setting at her home in central Iowa.

Over the following years, Kari raised hundreds of kittens before narrowing her focus to ragdolls and ragamuffins — two breeds she came to know firsthand. The program is a family affair, with two of her five children helping run the cattery day to day.

On the health side, the cattery uses non-adjuvanted vaccinations, natural bedding, and biodegradable nontoxic litter. Each kitten also receives a proprietary immune-boosting protocol before going home.
