Hy-Haven Farm
Hy-Haven Farm raises alpacas on a hilltop property above Cuba Lake in Allegany County, New York, in the rural highlands of Western New York roughly an hour southeast of Buffalo. Debby Filer started the farm in 2001, building her foundation herd from Bolivian-lineage stock and refining it over the years by breeding to quality males.
The farm keeps both huacaya and suri alpacas, with an emphasis on animals that carry strong conformation alongside soft, dense fleece. An on-site farm store, Hy-Haven Criations, offers fiber products made directly from the herd's wool. The farm also provides breeding, shearing, boarding, and ongoing support services.
Those searching for alpacas for sale in New York will find a small, owner-managed program where animals are raised with hands-on daily care. Visitors are welcome at the property.
