Humming Desert Alpacas
Humming Desert Alpacas raises huacaya alpacas on a three-acre farm in Budaghers, New Mexico, roughly midway between Albuquerque and Santa Fe just off I-25. Fred and Rhonda Seybert founded the operation in 2012 after Rhonda's long career in veterinary medicine, bringing a health-focused perspective to their herd management.
The farm is a full-service huacaya alpaca breeder in New Mexico with membership in the New Mexico Alpaca Breeders Association and the Alpaca Owners Association. Herd health and preventative care are central to their program, with a stated emphasis on keeping animals happy and thriving. Their breeding lines have drawn from well-regarded genetics, and the farm has pursued show-quality stock over the years.
Fleece from the herd is also processed on-site into finished alpaca fiber products, rounding out a farm that has served both buyers of breeding stock and the broader community for over a decade.
