The kennel's breeding stock is imported from Europe and selected for noteworthy pedigrees, show ratings, and titles, with an emphasis on adults that carry working drive yet settle comfortably into family life. Health testing covers hips and elbows, and every puppy leaves with AKC registration, a veterinary examination, microchip, and current vaccines. Early neurological stimulation and Early Scent Introduction training begin at three days old, with the full Puppy Culture and Baxter & Bella curricula guiding development through weaning.

Dogs at Hughston have room to move across 50 acres of wooded and open land, with access to a river and trails where the family also rides horses.
