Holdfast Hilty Family Farm

Holdfast Hilty Family Farm raises huacaya alpacas in Medway, Ohio, situated in the Miami Valley roughly 20 miles northeast of Dayton. Dan, Caleb, and Marcia Hilty launched the program in 2017 and have grown the herd to more than 100 animals.

The farm operates under the motto "Faith, Family & Fine Alpacas" and has built a show record to match that focus. Animals from the herd have earned multiple champion and reserve champion banners in both halter and fleece competitions at shows across the country, and the program received the AOA 2020 Classic Breeder Cup. The farm's herdsire HHFF Molten Steel holds particular distinction as a repeat AOA National grey male fleece champion and the first classic rose grey male to earn a Judge's Choice banner.

Members of the Carolina Alpaca Breeders & Owners and the Kentucky Alpaca Association, the Hiltys also run a farm store featuring alpaca fiber products — fleece, yarn, roving, and finished goods — sourced directly from their own herd. Buyers looking for alpacas for sale in Ohio will find a range of huacaya breeding stock and crias, and the farm regularly hosts public open farm days that welcome visitors for herd tours, alpaca education, and shearing demonstrations.
