Hightide

Hightide has been breeding Australian shepherds in Murrysville, Pennsylvania since 2000, with more than two decades of focus on the breed under the guidance of owner Jillayne Parnell. Murrysville sits in the western Pennsylvania hills roughly 20 miles east of Pittsburgh, putting the kennel within reach of families across the greater Pittsburgh region looking for Australian shepherd puppies in Pennsylvania.

The kennel's dogs are kept as household companions first, participating in both the show ring and everyday life. One of Hightide's dogs, a Grand Champion known as Striker, was selected by the AKC to appear on the cover of The New Complete Dog Book, 21st Edition. The program has also produced conformation champions, including a dog that earned its American Championship title at just ten months of age from the puppy class.

Hightide also maintains co-owned dogs as part of its broader program, partnering with outside households to show and develop dogs that don't live on-site. Retired dogs from the breeding and show program are either placed in dedicated retirement homes or honored as part of the kennel's history.
