Hideaway Farm

Hideaway Farm raises registered Highland cattle in Marietta, Illinois, in the rolling hills of west central Illinois, about an hour and a half northwest of Peoria. Terry and Kay Clemans have operated the farm since 1998, with the Highland fold assembled beginning in 2011 from championship bloodlines.

The herd is fully registered with the American Highland Cattle Association, and the farm holds memberships in the Midwest, North Central, and South Central Highland Cattle Associations. Terry completed certification through the Quality Beef Assurance program sponsored by the AHCA in 2012. The farm's senior bull, Skye High Capone, earned Reserve Grand Champion honors at the 2015 National Western Stock Show and has sired National Western and Washington State Fair grand champions. The junior bull, Almosta Farm's Baron, was selected as the 2020 senior show bull for the American Highland Cattle Association.

Spanning 128 acres of rolling pasture, woods, and cropland, the farm maintains a low-stress, grass-fed, all-natural environment with rotational grazing and no steroids, growth supplements, or unnecessary antibiotics. Since 2013, the farm has also served as a community ambassador for the breed at the Chicago Scots Highland Games each June.
