Happy Rock Farm

Happy Rock Farm raises alpacas on a five-acre property near Dickinson, North Dakota, about an hour east of Billings, Montana's regional influence and squarely in the western North Dakota badlands region. Amanda Shriver, a USAF veteran, established the farm in 2019 after years of research and on-farm tours before taking the leap into alpaca farming.

The herd numbers around 32 alpacas and shares the property with a small mix of other farm animals, giving the operation a genuine family-farm character. Fiber production is a central focus: alpacas are sheared annually both for the health of the animals and for their fleece, with fiber processed through a North Dakota mill as well as the New England Alpaca Fiber Pool cooperative. Those looking for alpacas for sale in North Dakota will find this a working fiber farm first, with the animals integrated into a hands-on, family-run daily routine.
