H and R Ranch raises miniature Hereford cattle in Ardmore, Oklahoma, with operations also extending into Heath, Texas. Ryan Schafer's program places a strong emphasis on polled genetics, with the entire herd DNA tested for both parentage verification and horn/poll status through the American Hereford Association.

Every calf leaves the ranch with a complete DNA panel, including MSUD testing, before the sale is finalized. Registered offspring are sold only with full AHA paperwork in hand — no pending registrations — and all calves carry a fertility guarantee, a standard that sets the program apart from many miniature Hereford breeders in Oklahoma and the surrounding region.

Show results are part of the program's record as well. A bull bred and co-owned by H and R Ranch earned Grand Champion Bull honors at the 2018 North American International Livestock Exposition.
