Guajira's Farm

Guajira's Farm raises dairy and meat goats in Estancia, New Mexico, set on 40 acres of high desert Estancia Valley land overlooking the Manzano Mountains — roughly an hour southeast of Albuquerque. Cristina Wiegert has built the operation from the ground up, developing its infrastructure while working the land through rotational grazing practices that rely on the livestock themselves to restore soil health.

The farm's philosophy centers on working with what nature provides and managing the herd as naturally as possible. Stock has been brought in from strong production lines, with the goal of continuing to breed animals suited to the farm's specific environment and offering fellow homesteaders the same quality goats for sale in New Mexico. What began as a small homestead has grown into a community-focused operation aiming to supply quality livestock and farmstead products at a local scale.
