Greenfield Highland Beef

Greenfield Highland Beef’s Scottish highland cattle are raised in Plainfield, VT, Washington County and Central Vermont near Montpelier. The farm has been managed by Ray Shatney and Janet Steward for more than a decade, and they follow American Highland Cattle Association guidelines with routine genetic and health screenings. The cattle graze on rotational pastures in summer and shelter in open barns through Vermont winters, with young calves handled daily to promote calm temperaments.
