Margery Morack and her husband Michael run the operation with a sharply defined breeding mission: developing a consistent line of true black huacaya alpacas that average 10 pounds of fleece per shearing at 20 microns or finer, combined with correct conformation throughout.

Selective breeding decisions at Greenbriar are driven by objective, verifiable, and measurable data rather than show-ring impressions alone, and the farm has developed its own free evaluation tool to help guide herd-building choices. Parasite management follows the Identification Method rather than routine prophylactic treatment, an approach the farm credits with improved overall herd health and lower medical costs over time.

Beyond raising alpacas for sale in Wisconsin, the farm processes its clip all the way through to finished goods, including roving, handspun and mill-spun yarn in weights from lace to bulky, felted sheets, and finished knitwear such as hats, gloves, scarves, and shawls.
