Green Gables Farm

Green Gables Farm raises English Labrador retrievers in the Newark, Ohio area, situated in the rolling hills north of Granville, about 30 miles east of Columbus. Dennis Beougher and his family have been breeding and showing labs since 1997, making it one of the longer-running Labrador retriever programs in central Ohio.

The program centers on three pillars: temperament, type, and structural soundness. Dogs are raised within the family home, and the Beoughers breed toward dogs that function equally well as companions, in competition, or in working roles. Their breeding stock carries champion lineage and is selected for strong conformation alongside calm, tractable temperament.

Health testing is thorough. All breeding dogs undergo OFA evaluations for hips and elbows, CAER eye certification, and a full Labrador genetic panel that screens for conditions including prcd-PRA, CNM, EIC, HNPK, DM, cardiac soundness, and several additional markers.
