Freyburg Belted Galloways

Freyburg Belted Galloways raises registered belted Galloway cattle in Schulenburg, Texas, situated in the rolling hills of Fayette County along the I-10 corridor between San Antonio and Houston. Owner Cathy Willhoite's introduction to the breed traces back to 1990, when a chance sighting of belties on a drive through the Texas countryside sparked a lasting fascination with the breed.

The operation formally came together around 2012, when the herd was established by acquiring a ready-made group that included a herd bull, heifers, and a cow-calf pair. From that foundation, Freyburg has grown to produce registered bulls and heifers available to other producers seeking belted Galloway cattle in Texas, as well as steers for beef purposes. The farm is listed with the Southwest Belted Galloway Association, connecting it to a regional network of breeders across the state.
