Fox Run Farm

Fox Run Farm in Hughesville, Maryland breeds French bulldogs alongside goldendoodles, with roots in the program going back to 2005 when owner Claire Clements began raising dogs through 4-H. The farm is situated in Southern Maryland, roughly an hour southeast of Washington, D.C.

Claire and her husband Michael arrived at the French bulldog after years of working with smaller toy breeds and searching for a sturdier companion that would hold up well around children. Their first French bulldog joined the family in 2009, and the program has grown steadily from there.

Health is a central focus for those searching for French bulldog puppies in Maryland from this program. All adult bulldogs are DNA tested to screen for breed-common diseases, and select adults receive additional evaluations and x-rays in line with Orthopedic Foundation for Animals guidelines. The farm also prioritizes temperament, with calm and sweet-natured dogs described as a top selection priority. Bloodlines in the program include AKC champion-lineage dogs, and the farm works with both standard and exotic color varieties.
