Following Seas Ranch

Following Seas Ranch raises miniature belted Galloway and panda cattle in Saratoga, North Carolina, situated in the eastern part of the state near Wilson. The operation was founded by Mick and Jenny Rankin, who purchased the farm in 2013 following Mick's 41-year Navy career, establishing hay fields and building a barn before making the full-time move to the ranch in 2016.

Miniature cattle were added in 2018, making Following Seas Ranch one of the earlier miniature cattle breeders for sale in eastern North Carolina. The program runs as a cow/calf operation with a resident herd of six cows and one bull. That bull, Pandarosa Kung Fu Panda, was initially used through artificial insemination before joining the ranch permanently in 2019 and has since served as the foundation sire for the program's belted Galloway and panda genetics.

The ranch also produces Tifton 44 Bermuda hay on the property, reflecting a working farm setup where forage and cattle production go hand in hand.
