Finger Lakes Alpacas is a family-owned huacaya alpaca farm now based in Medina, Ohio, operated by Polly and Ken Michaelis. Originally rooted in New York's Finger Lakes region, the farm relocated to Northeast Ohio and has been active in the alpaca industry for roughly 25 years, with the Michaelis family first encountering the animals in 1996 and bringing home their first alpacas in November 1999.

The herd has grown to around 20 huacaya alpacas, tended across pastures that Ken has steadily expanded and refined over the years. Polly brings a background as a former Alpaca Owners Association judge and continues to work as an industry consultant, lending the program a depth of expertise that goes well beyond the typical small farm.
