The program is part of the broader Rotterbarental kennel, situated in Southern California's Inland Empire region, roughly an hour southeast of Los Angeles.

The German shepherd dogs here are AKC-registered and draw from V-rated and Sch/IPO-titled German import lines. A stated priority is producing dogs that test clear of degenerative myelopathy, and coat color is a distinguishing feature of the program, with an emphasis on the deep black-and-red coloring associated with the West German show line, alongside traditional black-and-red and black-and-tan dogs. Long-coated German shepherd puppies are also produced on occasion.
