Double T Ranch LLC, yaks, Harvard, ID, North Idaho near Coeur d'Alene. The ranch has maintained a carefully selected herd for several years under the guidance of Tori Blommer-Omalley. Situated on 60 acres of mixed pasture and woodland, the property offers open space and natural shelter throughout the seasons. Animals receive regular veterinary exams, routine health screenings and follow best practice guidelines from regional livestock cooperatives to maintain herd health.

Young yaks are introduced to quiet handling routines from birth, developing a calm temperament that local fiber artisans appreciate. Herd management relies on rotational grazing and daily interaction to support muscle tone and social bonding. Many of their animals undergo fleece evaluation for softness and color consistency before fiber harvest each spring. A number of yaks also participate in conservation grazing projects on neighboring land, reflecting a long-term commitment to sustainable stewardship.
